In order for a car to age gracefully, it requires good fuel and maintenance including routine oil changes and tire alignment/rotations. Similarly, your body needs regular exercise, a healthy diet, and routine chiropractic adjustments. We recommend that you have your spine and extremities evaluated every 3 months by a qualified chiropractor. This is realistic if you are following recommendations made in this office regarding exercise and ergonomics. Your diet and management of stress also play a significant role. The more you do, the less we have to do! This will help you to stay in alignment and feel healthier. Your health impacts your happiness and productivity. It is a worthwhile investment.
In the meantime, here are some things you can do to ensure overall health and proper daily maintenance.
Drink lots of water: two glasses upon waking is a great way to start the day.
Don’t slouch. Sit up straight. ( We bet you just sat up straight after reading this. Go you!)
Sleep with a supportive pillow preferably on your back, but your side is ok if you uncurl your body.
Engage your core when you lift. Your back will thank you.
Do the exercises that Dr. Fowler taught you.
Integrating these actions into your daily living is beneficial. You will feel a lot better and in turn be more productive. Remember it is extremely beneficial for you to come in for routine health check-ups. This includes chiropractic, medical, and dental. Here’s to 2020 and your health!
